This year IMSTC 2020 was held on 6-9 February 2020 at Universitas Brawijaya.
IMSTC 2019
This year one of the biggest event in Amsa Indonesia, IMSTC ( Indonesia Medical Student Training and Competition ) was held on the 24th until 27th of February 2019 in Universitas Tarumanegara, Jakarta. 3 of our delegates, Rexel Kuatama, Jessica Rosemary and Agnes Margareta won 1st place for the Scientific Paper. During the 4 days event delegates also joined culinary night, games, watched performances from each district.

As one of the biggest event in AMSA Indonesia, IMSTC (Indonesia Medical Student Training and Competition) has never fail to draw Indonesia medical students’ attention. This year, IMSTC was held on 8th to 11th February 2018 in Universitas Krida Wacana, a medical school in Jakarta. The theme for this event was Minimizing Infectious Diseases in Children.
Three delegates from AMSA UAJ for the scientific poster, Erich Tamio, Harvey Sudharta, and Fanny Budiman won the 2nd place for this competition. During this four days long event, the delegates also participates in a seminar by Elsevier and Kaplan. They also joined a mini advocacy simulation where the participant was given a problematic ethics and law cases in medicine and how to overcome them. The event was closed with a ceremony and winner announcement.

Malang was the house for IMSTC (Indonesia Medical Student Training and Competition) 2016. Who doesn’t like that?
IMSTC was held from 25th to 28th of February 2016. Scientific paper, scientific poster, public poster, photography, and video education are the competitions that were held by IMSTC. One of the contestants, Vionita from AMSA-UAJ said that together with her team submitted the scientific paper just for trial; they were not so optimistic about the paper that they had made. Then, they didn’t expect that their work was chosen to be in the final.
On the way to the final competition, Vio and her team made the presentation for their Scientific Paper. They also asked Erika and Fidia as their senior to be given the enlightenment. Although they was so nervous, but because the support from friends and family they got through that with ease.
For Vio, personally, she felt more confident to speak in front of many people. Even though there are still many shortcomings, Vio said that IMSTC 2016 is a very cool experience, and she hope that medical students at Atma Jaya Catholic University to be a part of IMSTC in subsequent years.
From public poster, AMSA-UAJ actually sent one team. Although they hadn’t managed to qualify for the finals, however, the experience of working in a team like this brought them a lot of lessons and also togetherness, which are increasingly awakened. Chika said that, you must utilize time as good as possible and never be embarrassed to ask the seniors if you want to produce a great public poster. This public poster team from AMSA-UAJ will never give up on learning how to make a great public poster and is willing to be a part of next year’s IMSTC.
